Passenger Boarding / Exit from Trains

After buying their tickets, passengers would walk up a set of concrete steps located at the center of the railroad underpass. A small waiting room between sets of tracks provided shelter here.  If you click on this photo, you can see a full-display showing that the street (Lee) goes through the underpass. 

 

This view of the 1927 train station shows indicates how far the passengers walked to board or exit a train relative to the train station building.
