MEMORY PLAQUE
After due consideration by the Board of Directors of the Portage Area Historical Society, a change has ben made in Memory Plaque donations. The amounts are $50, $100 (instead of $250 originally announced), $500, and $1,000.

Hunting information on Erminio Rosati, married Anna Offie. Son Henry was born May 21, 1921 in Portage. Deceased Deptember 22, 1999. Mr. Rosati was a famous bandleader who later moved to Ohio.

If you've never gone on our Christmas House Tour, this will be the year to do it! The self-guided tour starts at the Museum Sunday afternoon, December 9, and runs from 4-7 PM. Have a look at our dressed-for-Christmas Portage Station Museum while you pick up your shoe covers and tour brochure.

Our Museum store is offering some beautiful prints of pencil drawings by Carrie Nardecchia of Lilly, PA. Carrie has done an outstanding drawing of a train at the Cassandra Railroad Bridge and also a farm off Route 22, plus others. The prints come in several sizes and also in note cards.
You might want to have a look the next time you're in the Museum. They would make nice Holiday gifts.

The Portage Area Historical Society's Christmas Light Tour will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2001, starting at 6:00 PM. A bus will leave every half hour from the Portage Station Museum on Lee Street. Come early and enjoy carols by the Portage Area High School's brass choir, and refreshments at the museum. Treats will be available for the kids and Santa will be visiting on the bus. Advance tickets are available at the museum for a $1.00 donation. Tickets will also be available the evening of the tour.

A tour of some local churches will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2001. Sponsored by the Portage Area Historical Society, the tour will include-
The bus will leave from the Station Museum at 6:30 PM. Advanced tickets are available at the Portage Station Museum on Lee Street for a $3.00 donation. Tickets will also be available the evening of the tour.
